Aid for Integrated Development (AID) is a national humanitarian and development organization committed to improving the lives, dignity, resilience, and self-reliance of vulnerable and crisis-affected communities in Ethiopia.
AID works at the intersection of humanitarian action, sustainable development, and peacebuilding. Guided by the Humanitarian–Development–Peace (HDP) Nexus, we respond to immediate needs while strengthening local systems, livelihoods, essential services, and community capacities for longer-term recovery and resilience.

Elwayne Secondary School in Nogob Zone, Somali Region, achieved historic milestone when seven Grade 12 students reached the university entrance mark for the first time in the school’s history, following structured tutorial support and additional evening classes attended voluntarily by 20 students. A further 10 students achieved remedial results, keeping their pathway to further education open. The achievement reflects the combined efforts of students, teachers, community members, and education stakeholders, demonstrating that structured support, determination, and commitment can create new opportunities even in schools with limited facilities.
